In a move aimed at bolstering the electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem in India, MG Motor India and Adani TotalEnergies E-Mobility Limited (ATEL) have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The collaboration seeks to enhance customer accessibility and ease of use by installing 60 kW DC charging stations at MG dealerships across the country.

Under the agreement, ATEL will be responsible for the supply, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of the charging infrastructure, alongside providing value-added services to MG's EV customers. Additionally, a digital platform will be launched to streamline the charging process through a dedicated mobile application.

Gaurav Gupta, Chief Growth Officer at MG Motor India, emphasized the company's commitment to sustainable mobility, highlighting the partnership's goal to revolutionize the EV landscape by establishing a robust charging network.

Suresh P Mangalani, ED & CEO of ATGL, underscored the significance of the partnership in accelerating India's energy transition towards cleaner and greener transportation solutions.

Moreover, the collaboration aims to enhance customer experience by providing RFID solutions at strategic locations, including airports, with preferential discount offerings for MG users. This initiative aligns with MG's broader mission under the MG Charge initiative to install 1000 charging points in 1000 days across residential communities and apartments in India.

Adani TotalEnergies E-Mobility Limited (ATEL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Adani Total Gas Limited, focused on creating EV charging infrastructure compatible with prevailing electric vehicles in the country.
